Circle Set (Dynamic)

< Dynamic Techniques

The Circle Set technique is simply the application of the first rule of the game of Hitori - Numbers must be 'painted' out of the grid so that only one unique occurrence of any number in a white cell exists in both the row and column it occupies.

This means that as soon as we circle a cell to mark it as a white cell, any other occurrences of the number in the same row or column must be set (painted out).

This rule can be used alternately with the Set Circle rule, sometimes even all the way to complete the board, but this wouldn't be very much fun!
