Triple / Quad Corner (Static) |

| < Pair Isolation |
|
| |
| This technique can provide a very quick starting point in a game, if the correct configuration of cells exists of course! |
| |
| Look for either: |
| |
- four cells (in a 2x2 arrangement - a quad) of either the same number, or two different numbers but not arranged diagonally opposite, positioned in the corner-most cells of each of the corners of the board.
|
| |
|
| |
- three cells of the same number, positioned in the corner-most cells of each of the corners of the board.
|
| |
|
| |
- remember a quad can consist of two different numbers, but the two numbers must not be arranged diagonally opposite.
|
| |
|
| |
| You can see that in this last example, no cell in the quadrant has any influence over the other cells unless they are painted (set) - but we can't deduce that any of these cells must be painted. |
